Happy Holidays + Merry Shifts!

Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope that each and every one of you have been experiencing an overwhelming multitude of love and joy so far this holiday season.

While I'm preparing for the Christmas season by making mental notes of the gifts I would like to give to my friends and loved ones, the majority of my being is currently occupied by my recent move with my fiancé from Connecticut, to Boulder, Colorado. As I step into this new chapter, I find myself in reflection and awe of the path that led me here; of the previous chapters of my life that have brought me to this one. This past year alone, wow, the growth that I've experienced, and all that I have let go of, and all of the space that I have created...

The only way I could describe the way it makes me feel to be witnessing this shift is: simply amazing.

I've noticed that I'm not the only one currently experiencing a major shift, be that in either your internal or external world, or both. Maybe it has something to do with what's going on with Mercury and the moon. Maybe it has something to do with the current state of our society, or the change in climate. Maybe it has to do with the general elevation of our collective consciousness. Maybe it's due to all of these, or none of these, but major personal and societal shifts are happening, that I'm sure of.

If you do, in fact, find yourself experiencing some sort of major change in your world right now, I would really encourage you to make the time for some self-care. Putting aside the time to show yourself a little love is always important, but it's especially important whenever you're experiencing a major life shift, and it's even more important when that shift is happening around a time when you're expected to be taking care of others and showering others with gifts and love (i.e. the holidays).

A self-care ritual can be anything at all that makes you feel good. Maybe to you, self-care means getting a massage, or setting aside half an hour to read an intriguing book and drink your favorite cup of tea. Maybe to you, it means making a smoothie for breakfast instead of having bacon and eggs, or maybe it means finally finding the courage within yourself to say "No", when in the past you've always begrudgingly said "Yes". Maybe, to you, self-care means hopping onto your yoga mat.

To inspire you to set aside some quality self-love time, I've created a Moon Salutations Flow. This flow is designed to get you out of your head and into your heart, thinking less, and feeling more. Don't forget that your breath is the BOSS - allow your breath to be the leader of your movements (on, and off, your mat).

Merry Shifting!
